This past summer, at Capitol Hill, Republican Senator Rand Paul and Dr. Anthony Fauci had a heated argument about Covid-19’s origin during a hearing. Sen. Paul made accusations of Dr. Fauci of fundingĀ  the research the led to the origin of Covid-19. Dr. Fauci, who worked for the National Institutes of Health, denied funding the research. As said by Dr Fauci himself,”Sen. Paul, you do not know what you are talking about, quite frankly. And I want to say that officially,”.

Sen. Paul then asked Dr. Fauci if he would like to “retract that statement”. In response, Dr. Fauci explained,”Sen. Paul, I have never lied before the Congress, and I do not retract that statement.”. He also added that the research “was judged by qualified staff up and down the the chains not being gain of function.” Paul went far enough to say that Fauci was “trying to obscure responsibility for 4 million people dying around the world from a pandemic.” Responding, Dr. Fauci said,”I totally resent the lie that you are now propagating, senator,”.

He then added,”If you look at the viruses that were used in the experiments that were given in the annual reports that were published in the literature, it is molecularly impossible,” ; ” If anybody is lying here senator, it is you.” Fauci accused. As for the truth of the matter, scientists have been studying the origins of Covid and have come to a result. Their research supports that claim that Covid came from a natural origin. Although, senior Biden Administration officials who have looked over the process, say that they believe the theory that the virus came from a lab in Wuhan. Now, the intelliegence community is divided over whether or not the virus came from a Wuhan lab or whether it jumped naturally from animals to humans in the wild. Which theory do you believe?
