New McFlurry Flavor Coming to McDonald’s

New McFlurry Flavor Coming to McDonalds

Abby Phillips, Staff Writer

McDonald’s will be adding a new McFlurry flavor to their impressive list of sweet treats on their menu which already includes the Oreo and M&M McFlurry options. This new item will be a Caramel Brownie McFlurry and the fast food chain claims that the dessert combines vanilla ice cream with brownie pieces along with a caramel topping that is blended throughout. US McDonald’s locations will start serving this new treat on May third for a limited time only and prices will vary depending on location.

Some might recognize this McFlurry flavor already as it is originally a Canadian creation that first came onto the scene in 1995 in the province of New Brunswick. Now, more than 100 countries serve the Caramel Brownie McFlurry. McDonald’s senior director of culinary says the flavor is “inspired by that first-warm-day-of-the-year feeling.”

McDonald’s regularly adds limited McFlurry flavors to their menu. In the past they have served Reese’s, Chips Ahoy, and snickerdoodle flavors and just this past February and March, they added an Oreo Shamrock McFlurry to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. This new flavor is bound to be just as successful and delicious as the rest.
