Understanding the Sacrifice for our Freedom

Haylee Freeman, Staff Writer

Every day, thousands of dedicated individuals serve to protect freedom, maintain peace, and support policies around the globe. These soldiers fight every single day to keep us safe. They leave behind their families for months, and sometimes even years to fight for people that they don’t even know personally. They choose to fight for every American Citizen every single day. They leave behind their husbands/wives, siblings, parents, close friends, and everyone else they know and love. We should always be supportive and respectful to all Soldiers and everyone serving in the Military. There are so many ways that we can support and help out our Troops and their Families.

Here are some easy ways to help support:
– Volunteering to place flags on grave sites
– Reach out to a Military family in your community
– Invite a Service Member over for a holiday meal or celebration
– Visit an older Veteran or wounded Veteran

“I am a soldier, I fight where I am told, and I win where I fight.” -George S. Patton
“It is the Soldier, not the poet, who has given us Freedom of Speech.” -Zell Miller

Thank you for all you do Soldiers and all in the Military! It is YOU who keeps us Safe and Free!
