Spring Break Activities

Abby Phillips, Staff Writer

If you haven’t heard already, spring break is next week! This is a time for students to get one last break in before finishing out the school year, as well as recharge with their friends and families. While many people tend to go on a vacation during this week, others choose to stay home and relax. I have compiled a list of activities and more to do if you happen to become bored or run out of exciting things to do over the break.

  • plant your own vegetable garden
  • go on a picnic
  • take a tour of your town and learn the history of where you live
  • go camping
  • dye Easter eggs, seeing how Easter is the Sunday before school starts back
  • read a book
  • have an all-day movie marathon
  • cook/bake
  • go to a zoo
  • go fishing
  • have a neighborhood cookout
  • go for a hike
  • create a sidewalk mural using chalk
  • spring clean your house/bedroom/closet
  • ride your bike
  • look for a summer job
  • visit a college you are interested in
  • practice your photography skills
  • have a photo
  • catch up on sleep
  • shoot with friends
  • volunteer your time to a local nonprofit/do service work
  • have a spa day
  • plan a day at the park
