I remember how broken I was 

How my questions had no answers  

How my heart became frozen 

The fact is I feel so odd 

Like I am just going through the motions 

I remember asking for a reason  

Why wasn’t anything certain in life? 

Being a child of bullying  

Kept me inside myself  

Losing my grandma 

When I needed her most 

Pushed me father back 

Change is necessary  

Change is inevitable, 

But often hard 

The life journey that I have 

Been on has turned my muddy path to pavement 

I can see my direction 

I can see my future
