Zakary’s, a local coffee shop located downtown Gaffney, SC at 612  N. Limestone St. is a multi-functional small business with the ideals of many alike. Zakary’s also offers it’s customers an online option to pre-order their coffee drinks at https://www.zakarys.com/. Zakary’s is a  hangout for high school and university students, a daily drop in for working adults, and a meeting place for friends and business associates. The coffee shop is also a house for ¨Designery¨, an Interior Design Studio. This creates a pleasurable experience where you can order coffee and shop with friends! Most of all, Zakary’s has created a reputation of being a light for community upbringing. This week the Indian Post took on Zakary´s with an open eye. The visit itself was masterful and in the words of the Indian Post;

Shon: I´ve been a longtime supporter of Zakary´s and have followed their path since the beginning. Being able to witness their explosion of fame and local support has truly been a delight to see and the experience they deliver is no different. Once walking in, the decor as well as the overall look was truly an inviting feeling and I felt open to relax and enjoy my time. I ordered… as many do, a Iced White Turtle. A better play on Starbucks Iced White Mocha. With the taste of authentic caramel, the blend of the coffee mixed well into the drink and displayed a visual of vibrant colors and lasted well after the initial taste. I had a chance to meet with Zakary himself and even got to know him on a level that

many get to see by just walking in. To put it lightly, his tenacity and overall work ethic proves the overwhelming success of Zakary´s. I would definitely come back and will be an active supporter of his business as it continues to bloom.

Kiki: I visited Zakary’s. Zakary’s is more than just a coffee shop.  The shop’s environment is relaxing and clean, while decorated beautifully

to legitimize itself as a true and authentic coffee shop that welcomes everyone.  I ordered a strawberry smoothie. It tasted amazing! All ingredients blended well, and tasted authentic while staying true to its strawberry flavor.

I really do recommend that more people go to Zakary’s if you are looking for a pleasant experience.

Hannah: Great local coffee shop. The young owner is pleasant, outgoing and also brews great coffee. Zakary’s place has a great selection of flavors, and a good variety of coffees to choose from. Customer service was great, they told us everything we needed to know about the best drinks and suggested menu items. I ordered a Chocolate Mocha. It came with an explosion of flavor. The drink was very smooth in texture and blended to perfection; I personally would say without a doubt Zakary´s has the best coffee you could buy in Gaffney.

Jaymie: Zakary’s is located in Downtown Gaffney, SC. The Indian Post visited there on Friday morning and ordered from their wide selection of orders. I ordered the iced white turtle and it is a better version of a caramel macchiato. The way the coffee and whipped cream tied into the caramel tasted rich and creamy. The interior of the coffee shop gives life and shows true to the experience of a coffee shop. I would definitely rate my experience 5/5 stars.

Kyra: The order I had was the Caramel Sweet Cream Cold Brew. It is made with cold brew, Vanilla sweet cream,  Caramel drizzle,  and Caramel flavoring. I would recommend this drink because I tasted the Caramel all the way through the drink. I would definitely come back again.

With this in mind, Zakary Himself is a young entrepreneur from Washington D.C. His entrepreneurial interest and passion for his vision of owning his own coffee shop, lead him to open his own business in Gaffney, SC.   Zackary is a Graduate of Limestone University.  He loves the positive environment that Gaffney represents and he has supported the city in many ways. He had a vision to open a coffee shop that was a safe place for high school and college students to come together and converse, for homework and more. But that vision soon burst into a community coffee shop where all members alike came as one to enjoy each others time. In an effort to give back to the community he gives 5% of his gross sales monthly to different schools, even as far as investing money to help schools such as Luther Vaughn build a playground.  Zakary´s even generates bake sales to help others in the community. With the hit of COVID many small businesses were affected, Zakary´s game plan on how he ran his company had some changes with the hit of the virus and made sure to ensure his customers would be safe; sterilizing his tables and chairs, even stopping his infamous mic nights to minimize the spread of COVID.  Indian Post inquired Zakary´s input on what HIS favorite drink is and to our surprise he shares the same idea as most people around; The White Turtle. To this day, The White Turtle produces 32% of his regular sales. While he still generates his impact on Gaffney it is imperative to know that small businesses within our community are essential to how we as a city can come together.

Zakary’s Coffee Shop offers the city of Gaffney and it’s community an experience beyond just the brew. Zakary’s brings coffee drinkers together! He understands that coffee drinkers can relate to one another and that people shouldn’t be judged before their first coffee every day! Coffee can create an environment for the most productive business meetings, a meaningful conversation between friends, a break away from the monotonous daily routine, and the stamina that kicks in to finish your day when a pick me up is needed. Coffee is much like an invitation that welcomes everyone, offering a diverse selection while breaking us away from out  technology-filled lives or enthralling us into a focused work session. Zakary’s offers Gaffney a  moment for a sweet taste of coffee with face to face interaction with an environment that leaves you feeling relaxed and happy!
