Recently, I have heard many complaints from my friends about the lack of new movies being shown in theaters. Many of the movies currently being played are films that my friends and I have not heard of and, therefore, do not have an interest in watching. Had we heard or seen advertisements about them, this may not be the case. Because of this, I have compiled a list of newly released or upcoming movies that you can look forward to watching.

The Woman in the Window is a movie based on the novel written by A.J. Finn, which was released in 2018. In the movie, the plot revolves around Dr. Anna Fox, who witnesses something she shouldn’t have seen while keeping tabs on the seemingly picture-perfect Russell family who lives across the street. The thriller film is rated R.

Released in December of 2018, the sequel of Coming to America, Coming 2 America, is a comedy film starring Eddie Murphy. The newly crowned King Akeem of Zamunda embarks on a hilarious adventure from his own African nation to the borough of Queens, New York. While critics have given the movie mixed reviews, fans of the first film say they enjoyed the second one just as much, claiming it was familiar, funny, and nice and that the plot was good enough to carry a comedic movie.

Nobody is a rated R action film about Hutch Mansell, a man who fails to protect his family from two thieves who break into his suburban home one night. In the aftermath of it all, another incident soon takes place, releasing Mansell’s simmering rage. Hutch Mansell is now forced to save his wife and his son from another dangerous situation and ensure that he will no longer be underestimated. The movie was released this past March and has an 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a review-aggregation website for film and television.

The film Those Who Wish Me Dead, which was just released on May 14 of this year, involves a teenage murder witness who goes on the run with a smokejumper in the Montana wilderness to escape a pair of assassins who have been hired to silence him. The movie stars notable actors and actresses, such as Angelina Jolie, Jon Bernthal, and Tyler Perry, and was given a 72% rating by different users on Google.

Chaos Walking is a new movie, released on March 5, that stars popular young actors, including Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley, and Nick Jonas. The film, set in the not-too-distant future, follows a young man who discovers a mysterious woman who has crash landed on his planet, where all the women have disappeared. While the young woman’s life is threatened, the young man who found her vows to protect her. During this time, he struggles to discover his own inner power and uncovers his own planet’s dark secrets.
