Our Last Week as Seniors

Mariana Razo, Editor-in-Chief

May 17 marks our last week as seniors. This has been a really short year with most of the school year at home and a few months in-person.

Time has flown by, and in a week we will be graduating high school. Memories roam the hallways and laughter fills the air as we recall our favorite ones.

For some, it will be a relief. For others, it’ll be a fun time to look back on as we move on to the next step of our lives. That next step is your decision. College can fill in that spot, or anything else because this is our time to choose what we want in life. We’re all almost (or already are) adults and once school is over, we will have all the time in the world.

Despite the type of year it’s been, I did most of what I could do with the limitations on life at the moment. However, there’s a whole life ahead of us so no, we don’t have to do everything on our bucket list because life will still be here after graduation. It may sound like the second we graduate, life is over but what’s senior year without overly-dramatic quotes about life?

Seniors, enjoy your last week using your Chromebook that’s always out of battery, exempting your last exams, turning in your last assignment, or sleeping in your least favorite class. After this week, you won’t be able to do it again.

Congratulations, Class of 2021!
