Donald Trump Jr.’s New Political Role

Former President Donald Trump has given his son, Donald Trump Jr., a new, elevated role inside his circle.

Trump’s eldest son is now one of the former president’s top political advisors as he considers the option of another presidential campaign run in 2024. According to multiple sources, Trump Jr. has been working closely with his father’s team to ensure his father’s political career is still moving along smoothly, to make sure he is endorsing reliable, conservative candidates, and even influencing his father’s political instincts. A source close to Trump Jr. states, “He was always fighting for the cause big-picture wise, but now Don is taking more of a leading role in shaping the political direction of Trump’s post-presidency.” Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer went on about this, saying, “He recognizes candidates who are authentically invested in the America First agenda and can spot those who are faking it.” In addition to this, Trump Jr. is urging his father to remain quiet on certain cultural issues because he feels they will lead to grassroots groups in the Republican Party ahead of, and beyond, the 2022 midterm election. Trump Jr.’s rise has also been influenced by Jared Kushner’s absence, Donald Trump’s son-in-law. Since leaving Washington, Kushner and his wife, Ivanka Trump, have stayed out of the political realm and have shown little interest in returning anytime soon.

As Donald Trump Jr. aides his father through many decisions, it has been suspected that he may run in place of his father in the next presidential election. But currently, both men are taking life easy, escaping from political conflict as often as possible in order to rest after a long few years of serving the country.
