Kylie Jenner Controversy

Kylie Jenner has recently spoken out over criticism about her support for a GoFundMe.

Samuel Rauda, a makeup artist whom Jenner worked with a few times several years ago, got into a car accident on Sunday, March 14 and had to undergo major surgery. Although they do not have a personal relationship anymore, the young billionaire wanted to show her support to Rauda. In one statement Jenner said, “I saw my current makeup artist and friend Ariel post about Sam’s accident and his family’s GoFundMe and I called Ariel immediately to see what happened to Sam.” Jenner then went on to post about the GoFundMe on her Instagram story, asking her followers to pray for Rauda and donate money if they are able to help him pay his medical bills. The original money goal of the GoFundMe was $10,000. By the time Jenner had become aware of the situation, $6,000 had already been raised. She donated $5,000 herself to help the family reach their initial goal and “posted on [her] stories to gain more awareness if anyone else felt compelled to share or donate.”

Fans are criticizing Kylie Jenner for not paying the bills herself, seeing how she is one of the most well-known and richest people in the United States, even though she gave enough money to complete the money goal. Jenner responded to this by saying, “Anyone who knows me knows that I do things from the heart and I try to be helpful whenever I can be. Let’s all stay positive and keep Sam… in our prayers.”
