On Tuesday night the Gaffney Indians varsity squad traveled to Fort Mill, South Carolina to take on the hot Fort Mill Yellow Jackets. The 3-5 Indians would look for their first region win of the season under the lights on a beautiful night in Fort Mill.

The Indians and Yellow Jackets were deadlocked for the majority of the game, with Fort Mill and Gaffney playing excellent defensive games. At halftime, both Gaffney and Fort Mill were tied 0-0, as both teams would look to regroup and try to seal the game for their team in the second half. The Indians held their own for the majority of the evening until the Yellow Jackets made it 1-0, which would end up being the final score of this regional matchup. The Indians played well and competed against the Yellow Jackets but just weren’t able to pull it off.
