2021 Youth Impact

Tricia Blackwood, Staff Writer

The 2021 Youth Impact is a little different this year than it has been in the past. Normally, Impact would be the second weekend in March, and be filled with rallies all weekend at Broad River Electric. Impact was a place for all of the youth groups in the county to come together and celebrate the glory of God.

However, gathering this year is too big of a risk and far too dangerous. Considering the current state of the Corona Virus, it would be crazy to have a normal Impact. Especially since last year during Impact, Covid had spread and school ended up shutting down. The group of people who put Impact together every year, made a new and improved Impact for 2021. This year will be so much different, but accommodations had to be made to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus.

This year, the theme of Impact will be “Standing Rock Solid”, and rather than being a weekend event, it’s only a one day event. On Sunday April 11, 2021, from 2-6pm the Impact service will be taking place. This event will take place at the main Upward Stars building on Warren H. Abernathy Hwy. Impact will consist of speaker, Chris Singleton, and worship leader Keiffer Mendoza. Impact 2021 will also be full of lots of fun! There will be Nerf wars, Bubble Soccer, Games, and Tournaments. There will also be Pizza! Who doesn’t love Pizza?

The cost of Impact 2021 will be $20 a student, and $10 a leader for t- shirts!! Or $100 a church. If you write a check, please make it out to “Standing Rock Solid”
