The Cherokee County District Office is considering a change in the schedule for the middle and high school. In the coming weeks, they will have made their decision.

Right now, high school students have two separate groups on the schedule. Group A goes to school on Monday and Tuesday while B-day students go to school on Wednesday and Thursday. The two groups rotate going on Fridays. Administrators are considering having the A and B students go to school together Monday through Thursday.

Starting on February 22, middle school students will be going to school Monday through Thursday. Friday will be a virtual day for all. Elementary schools have been back to a normal, 5-day a week schedule for quite some time now.

The district is having to decide on a new schedule due to a new agreement between the governor and state superintendent. Both parties decided that schools needed to be reopened fully. They are discussing the possibility of making sure teachers are able to receive the vaccine, as well.
