Valentines Day!!

Valentines Day!!

Lauren Ingle, Assistant Editor

Valentines day is this Sunday. Whether you have a significant other or not, spend this time with the people you care about. If you do have a significant other, go have fun…just not too much because COVID-19 is still a huge problem.

Take your significant other on a date. It does not have to be a fancy restaurant or an overly expensive shopping trip. You can simply make a picnic and go to the lake for the day, or you could stay at home and watch movies. Buy them a gift or hand make a gift. Show them that they are special and that you care.

If you do not have a significant other spend some time with the people around you. The littlest things mean the most! Clean the house for your parents or make them a meal. Have a movie night with your family. My mom always gets me a little box of chocolates and in return I usually get her a bouquet of flowers. If you have siblings, try to do something nice for them. Buy them a stuffed animal or something you know they will love, even if they do not get you anything.

If you choose not to do anything, that is okay too. This year is a little different due to the pandemic, so make sure that you are safe and make sure you are taking precautions to limit the spread of this virus. You can have a day all to yourself. Take care of yourself. Do something nice for you, because you deserve it! Life can be crazy sometimes, especially considering what all is going on in the world, so take some time to yourself.

No matter what you do make sure that you do it all out of love, and kindness.
