Gaffney High School in 1995:

GHS had 5 Homecoming Queen nominees in 1995: Tameria Smith, Quantina Norris, Brooke Gibson, Jana Humphries, and Melissa Webster.

The 1995, Homecoming was held in the newly renovated GHS gym. During the Homecoming assembly, Gaffney High received a $10,000 endowment from the guest speaker Mr. John Fowler.

They started the celebration at 2:30 pm when the GHS football players marched in carrying a “Dorman Dummy” football player and placed a burial wealth around his neck to symbolize the defeat of Dorman, which they were anticipating.

The celebrations continued at 8:00pm with the kickoff of the Gaffney v. Dorman game. During halftime, Jana Humphries was crowned Homecoming Queen by Julie Alexander, the 1994 Homecoming Queen.

The tradition of Homecoming will always be carried on for all classes of Gaffney High School.
