Special Olympics: Basketball and Cheerleading

On February 18, 2020, Gaffney High School hosted a basketball and cheerleading Special Olympics competition. Many parents came out to support their kids, and many GHS students helped out with the festivities as well.

Participating schools included Gaffney High, Gaffney Middle, Ewing, the Institute of Innovation, and the SC School for the Deaf and Blind, located in Spartanburg. As some students played basketball, cheerleaders from all the schools came to support the teams by doing a dance routine. Many people were filming the scene and getting them to smile during warmups.

It was truly an unforgettable day for many students, and a great way for the community to come together to celebrate.
