"Christine" by the King of Horror: Stephen King

Amiria Hopper, Staff Writer

The novel “Christine” by Stephen King has to be one of my favorite books. I have read 13 chapters of the book already in 3 days, and still plan to read more of it today, precisely when I get home after school. Considering the fact that I have such a great toll of desire to continue reading that book, I got to say, the glorious King really knows his craft on attracting more and more readers onto his books; and this is actually saying something since I, Amiria Hopper, am one to read only 4 pages of a book, then stopping for that day, and finally never reading it again. I guess maybe that’s why Stephen King has been continuously known as “One of the Best Authors of All-Time.”
Based on what I’ve read so far, “Christine” is a story about a teenage boy, in his senior year of high school, named Arnie Cunningham spotting a car that’s for sale, a 1958 Plymouth to be exact. The Plymouth appears to be horribly damaged and seems like it won’t be able to function properly due to so much damage done to it; however, it still sparks an interest in Arnie. Cunningham orders Dennis to turn his car around and go back to the place where the car for was for sale. Dennis did so with reluctance, but without compliant. A guy comes out and decides to find out what the ruckus was all about; he comes to find out that Arnie wants to buy his car. He refuses to sell it to Arnie, claiming the car is still his prize possession, despite the fact of him selling it. With tons and tons of convincing to the man who put the car out for sale, Roland D. Lebay, Arnie eventually managed to afford the car and own it. Through all these number of events, Dennis felt a sort of uneasiness about the car, like a suspicious manner towards it. Little would they know what secrets the car actually carried.
If this sort of mystery and drama interests you , then I encourage that you all read this book. It will be worth your while, and possibly increase your love of reading as it has I. I hope you will enjoy the story as much as I am right now, and maybe review the book in a positive review as well.
