Tonight, the 4-2 Gaffney Indians will face a huge away game against the 6-0 Dorman Cavaliers. Dorman is #3 in South Carolina, and is coming off of a dominating win at Spartanburg, where they won 56-7. The Indians, who are ranked #7 in the state, are coming off of another away match-up against the Hillcrest Rams, winning 41-7.

The Cavaliers have steam-rolled through all of their opponents thus far this season. The Indians’ two losses this season came to non-conference foe Mallard Creek, falling 27-20, and rival Byrnes, losing 57-30 in front of a home crowd. Dorman has won every game this season so far, and has played Wade Hampton, York, Northwestern, Hillcrest, Boiling Springs, and Spartanburg. The Cavaliers have not played Byrnes yet this season, facing off against the Rebels next week.

Dorman has Byrnes, Mauldin, and Riverside left on their schedule, with Riverside as the only home game out of the 3 game stretch, while Gaffney has Riverside, Boiling Springs, and Spartanburg left on there schedule.

This season, the Indians offense has hit record numbers, with 1,262 passing yards, 920 rushing yards, and 1,236 receiving yards. With still 4 more games to be played this season, those numbers are sure to increase even more. Quarterback Undre Lindsay has had 9 touchdowns, is 108/183 attempts, and 0 interceptions so far this season.

Meanwhile, the Dorman defense has had no sacks, but has 9 interceptions, 3 caused fumbles, and 4 fumble recoveries. This defense has been elite, and that’s why the Cavaliers are 6-0, and the third best team in South Carolina.

The Dorman Cavaliers will look to improve 7-0 on the season, and the Indians will look to improve 5-2, before facing Riverside next week in homecoming.
