“There’s nothing to do in Gaffney.”

“Gaffney is soooo boring.”

Because teenagers in Gaffney have likely lived here their whole lives, it is easy to be bored here in such a small town. It seems as if there is nothing to entertain the people of Gaffney unless football is on. Although Spartanburg, Greenville, and Charlotte are a quick drive away, there are plenty of things to do in Gaffney. This series of articles is designed to introduce different things to do here in Gaffney that may be overlooked.

Perhaps one of Gaffney’s most famous tourist attractions, the Outlet Mall (as we call it, “the Yellow Mall”)  is a wonderful location to shop, visit, and hang out in town. With seventy-five stores, there is a store for just about everybody, ranging from infants to seniors. Clothing, home goods, makeup, you name it, the Yellow Mall has it. Those who are into sports have many stores to choose from such as Adidas and Nike. Shopping, or window shopping, is a fun way to bond with friends and possibly add articles to the closet. The Yellow Mall, with its iconic bright yellow appearance, and its staple on the city of Gaffney, makes it a must-go location on your itinerary.

Along with the countless stores, the Yellow Mall boasts a number of new and tantalizing restaurants which offer a wide variety of food and cultures, with new restaurants on the way. For example, Smokin’ Wings, the new wing restaurant in the food court, boasts over 100 different flavors such as chicken and waffles and bacon dry rub. Smokin’ Wings has been a big hit among shoppers and is becoming a local favorite. Other restaurants include China Max, Bristol Café, and The Great Steak and Potato Company. These restaurants provide different options to please most everyone visiting.
