Not only will red ribbon week take place on the last full week in October, but auditions for the Shrek musical happening after school from Tuesday through Thursday as many students all across the school will try and get major roles in an iconic musical. It’s going to be a wonderful experience for everyone involved to showcase their acting and musical skills being put to the test. Not only that they will also get an opportunity to learn the dance choreography to one of the main solo songs called Story of my life. All of the cast will be wonderful to watch and take into the roles of main characters like Sherk, Fiona, Donkey and Lord Farquad. It’s not all about them though we can’t forget famous side characters like the Dragon, Gingy and Pinocchio who will be present throughout the course of this wonderful tale from a classic Dreamworks film. To wrap up this story before auditions I wanted to dive into a bit of history about the musical itself. The Musical of Shrek was released all the way back in 2013 in film form with great reviews from famous Broadway. 5 years earlier was the first time it was performed in front of a live audience which turned out to be a massive success with critics and the world. The film of the musical was making around $25 million at the box office which is a decent amount all things considered. All I can say to everyone is try out good luck and crush your role.
