His ways of grading papers is he looks at the content of the paper. Mr. Hardy likes to see what improvements have been made by a particular student, he also looks at spelling and grammar mistakes to see where they can improve. The most important thing for him is the content and the argument presented in the paper. He also likes to make sure his students get into the habit of citing their papers. His lesson plan requirements are he wants his lesson plans to have a variety of activities from games, to notes, to writing assignments. He also wants to make sure that he addresses the standards and help his students gain an understanding of the material. The way he communicates with parents is, he try’s to communicate with parents at least twice a nine weeks. He likes to call parents and send letters if need be. Mr. Hardy also uses e-mail whenever he tries to communicate with a parent. He likes to talk to parents about good things, like if he has a student score the highest on a test or in their class he tries to call and tell the parents. If he has a student struggling in class he will also call parents to try to work out a game plan to help the student succeed. His field trip policy is, he looks for students with good grades and good behavior to go on a field trip. School rules apply on the field trip. Some changes Mr. Hardy has to face with the changes in the school and with the new rules he knows he has to be stricter with regards to phones and phone usage. He wants to make sure that he sets a good example for his students and helps guide them in the right direction. Mr. Hardy thinks homework is a good way to help students practice skills on their own. He also feels that it is a good way to preview what they are going over and what their doing in class. Mr. Hardy feels that he likes his classes, he hopes and expects that they will have a great semester.
